Now Is NOT the Time to Panic!
We've been through this before. Economic slow-downs in 1990-1991 and again in 2000-2001, left us all wide-eyed and walking in circles. There are many things that you need to do during these times. Cost cutting, focused decision making and remaining positive are just a few. , which is essentially what you are doing when you cut out your marketing plans altogether.
A new web site or a web site redesign!
Unlike the 1990 slow-down, the internet has opened up an entirely new and cost effective channel to get your message out there while things are slow. Your message can still remain the same as before. We are only talking about using a different tool of communication. Alpha Dog has been designing web sites and digital design for over 15 years. We have all the tools necessary to keep your name out there in these troubled times.
Think about it...most product research, and even company research is done using the internet. When you want to find out about a company or a product, where do you start? So why not take some of the budget from the more traditional lines of advertising and re-invest in the only tool in your arsenal that can provide you with up-to-the-minute statistics on exactly who is looking at your message. Better yet, if the message isn't exactly on point, it can be changed almost immediately without the cost of another printing run. We will lead you through that process or make those changes for you...it's your choice.
Instead of a full page phonebook ad, try a quarter page advertisement inviting the viewer to your site for more information. Or cut down that magazine ad from 1/2 page to a 1/8 page and entice a visit to the site using an incentive. Consider putting the 1500 piece direct mail campaign on hold and instead run a 2500 recipient direct e-mail campaign. The print costs alone would make that one worth a try.
Multi-channel promotion is the most effective approach so continuing on with some programs is essential - it depends on your industry.
